Yoga & Embodiment Retreat

This spring retreat in the heart of Cognac, France is a chance to welcome energy and action after the deep rest of winter.

Across four nights, immerse yourself in yoga, embodiment and nourishing connection. Open to all levels of yoga students, the retreat offers a balance of movement, stillness, and self-discovery in a beautiful, tranquil setting.

What To Expect

  • Daily Practice

    Each day blends energising morning Hatha Yoga, restorative evening Yin & Embodiment, nourishing meals and free time to relax, explore, or enjoy therapies.

  • Accommodation

    Our retreat venue offers four en-suite double bedrooms in our beautifully renovated gîtes, featuring hotel-quality beds and linens, airy living areas equipped with modern comforts, smart TVs, private pools or sun decks, and fully equipped kitchens.

    Single occupancy is available (supplement applies).

  • Food & Wellness

    Meals will be plant-based and nourishing, with the option to include meat if preferred by the group. Fresh local wine will be shared at dinner.

Your Retreat Hosts

  • Joanne Tait

    Joanne is a qualified Sivananda and Hatha Yoga teacher, known for weaving breath work and mindful movement into each of her classes. Based in Cognac, she teaches weekly at her studio and brings warmth, clarity and care to her students. Joanne will also be hosting the retreat at her charming French gîtes, creating a welcoming and restorative setting for practice and connection.

  • Amanda

    Amanda

    With over 20 years of experience in the health field, Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for supporting others on their wellness journey. Her path has woven together personal training, Traditional Thai massage, and teaching Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. In recent years, her deep curiosity about the body has led her to Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, a practice she finds both profoundly interesting and deeply healing for herself and her clients. Amanda’s approach blends movement, stillness, and mindful bodywork to create a holistic experience of living in health.

8:30am – Hatha Yoga with Joanne

10:30am – Brunch

12:00pm – Free Time
Indulge in a massage or Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy session, cycle along the Charente river, enjoy a Cognac tasting at one of the many historic houses, or simply relax with a book in the French countryside.

5:00pm – Yin Yoga & Embodiment with Amanda

7:30pm – Dinner (vegetarian meals provided; meat available if the majority prefer). Wine will be offered with the evening meal.

  • €650 per person(based on shared gîte accommodation)

    Payment Terms: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking, with the full balance dueby 16 March 2026
